John James "Jimbo" Fisher (born October 9, 1965) is an American college football coach and former player of Salem College (1985–1986), Samford (1987), and Chicago Bruisers (1988) as a Quarterback. He is currently the head football coach at Florida State University.
Coaching Career[]
Jimbo Fisher started coaching as the offensive coordinator and the quarterback coach at Florida State in 2007. He was aside Bobby Bowden until he retired on December 1, 2009, where then Jimbo Fisher succeeded him as the Head Coach.
As of the 2010 football season, Jimbo Fisher has been the Head Coach of the Seminoles, pushing them towards the Conference division title, in which they won in his first season.

During his third season (2012), Fisher won his first ACC Championship game against Georgia Tech with a 6 point difference, 21-15.

It only took four years for Jimbo Fisher to go undefeated and claim both his second Conference Title (ACC) and his first National Title (BCS). On January 6, 2014, the number one ranked Florida State Seminoles, faced number 2, the Auburn Tigers, for the first time since 1990. The Seminoles won 34 to 31, finishing the Bowl Championship Series Era with one of the best Bowl games in history, and ending the back-to-back winning streak from SEC teams.
